Playwrights Take the Stage
Nov 2019
Alexander Manuiloff organises The Hour of the Truth performance in Sofia.
The Hour of Truth is a format that invites 7 contemporary Bulgarian authors to share their truth, their experience and reflections on the role of the playwright today. Each of them has seven minutes, an empty stage, their own body and their professional skills to share their truth.
Silent, hidden, ignored truths that, if we do not speak and do not bring to light, we would not be able to move forward.
The participants are: Alexander Manuiloff, Milena Stanojevich, Iva Paneva, Stefan Ivanov, Miroslav Hristov, Ivan Dimitrov and Yasen Vassilev
With the special participation of Vaiva Grainite, playwright of the opera Sun & Sea (Marina), winner of the Golden Lion at the Venice Biennale.
The event is organized by "Radar Sofia" and "Drama Pact" with the support of the Ministry of Culture and in cooperation with Derida Stage.
Part of the programme of the Night of Theaters in Sofia.
